Review: Secrets Of Hyper-Response And “Core-Attraction”DVDs (The Palo Alto Seminar)
This course is also known as the “Palo Alto Video course” because of the fact that it’s on a recording of the September 2002 Palo Alto Speed Seduction Seminar. The course included 11 CDs, 7 VHS tapes, and a courseware book (more recently Ross’ products have been converted to DVD, so now it’s a 7 DVD and 11 CD set). The course CDs and tapes have a good production quality, although it’s sometimes hard to hear what the students are saying, Ross makes sure to repeat their questions and address them so that we get all the important information.
This course is billed as the next level of Speed Seduction technology, and Ross does a good job of describing how the new model of Speed Seduction has evolved from the old model and past courses. I would say a big fundamental difference is that rather than a kind of one size fits all approach (learning certain patterns and lines), it’s more of a flexible model (using what responses a woman gives you to find her roadmap on how to properly seduce her). Although Ross deemphasizes using memorized patterns in this seminar, he still explains where they can fit into the overall process, so if you’ve already memorized patterns then you can still use them, and if you hate rote memorization then you can still find success with this new model.
If anyone has read Neil Strauss’ “The Game” and heard about the “Octoberman Pattern” (the ultimate, unspoken, super secret pattern for creating a deep attraction to you), the technology and structure for the “Octoberman Pattern” is very similar to what’s taught in these DVDs.
The first tapes (Day 1)focus on altering your beliefs and optimizing them so you can effectively learn and apply the information, and Ross provides everyday examples that are easy to relate to. Ross does some one-on-one change work with a couple of guys who were having problems with approaching, and you see the guys immediately have positive improvements. Ross helps build and emphasize the frame that you are the one doing the choosing and being the selector, and you are deciding whether you want to pursue things or not. This kind of frame and outlook isn’t as emphasized as much in the old Speed Seduction courses. This is a powerful way of interacting with women, and is the frame that most naturally charismatic guys have.
The second tapes (Day 2) see Ross going into the new Speed Seduction model, which focusses on elicitation, self-anchors, and making use of a woman’s familiar and old ways of thinking and how to shift them into a new way of thinking. He explains how to uses demonstrations to get women more willing and eager to be involved in the whole seduction process, rather than being a more passive participant. He also explains how to set-up and gain rapport before the demonstration process, so that it seems more natural. He also covers the process of creating filters, so that a woman has a positive strong perception of you, and as a means of supporting and further techniques that you might use.
Day 3 shifts from eliciting values and demonstrations into sexual leading. Ross covers how many parts of his new model are used to establish yourself as an attractive male, such as challenging her self-image, establishing authority, and evoking strong processes.
The two big changes from the old BHSC are basically “demonstrations” and “signal recognition”. “Signal recognition” is just finding out the processes that women go through when they fall in love, feel attraction, etc., and then the “demonstrations” portion is taking those feelings, amplifying them, and linking them to you.
The best way to use this materials is to read the coursebook if you’re not already familiar with NLP or SS, then watch the tapes and take notes, then listen to the CDs at night to help the material and information sink in. If you listen to the CDs a lot, you’ll find yourself more easily able to use the techniques. Then, of course, go out and practice the materials.
I highly recommend this product, for both beginners who are having real problems with just approaching women, and even for advanced students of seduction.
